Letter from Santa

I was just finishing up these cute letters to my kids from Santa and thought I'd share a few things! (And if you can read the letter to my son, don't laugh. He desperately wants a pocket knife and I'm trying to hold off until he is 8 and starts scouts.) If you want to know parts I love about the letters here are some snippets (I gathered ideas from around the web and combined them into something I really loved!):

"I got your letter from your elf, (ELF ON SHELF NAME), about what you are wishing for this Christmas! (ELF ON SHELF NAME) also gave me a report on how you've been acting this month. I’ve watched you all year, but in December I get really busy, and that’s why I have (ELF ON SHELF NAME) help me out. She says you are (INSERT GOOD THINGS THEY'VE BEEN DOING) I was so happy to hear that, I know it can be hard sometimes, but don’t give up! If you make a mistake, fix it and keep going!"

"I want you to remember what Christmas is really all about, and that is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know it pleases Him to see how hard you are trying to be like him! That is who you really need to please, and I”m sure you are!"

"I’m looking forward to visiting your new home in (LOCATION) this year! Mrs. Claus and the elves have been helping me get ready for the big day. We’ve been making toys, writing letters, giving the sleigh a tune-up, and exercising the reindeer so they’ll be ready to fly. I have a lot to do before I can deliver gifts to children all over the world, but I wanted you to know that you are on the nice list! You know what that means.. that you will be getting some very special gifts that you've been wishing for and also
some that I know you will love! Thank you for your suggestions for presents, I will do my best to bring you (INSERT PERSONAL TOUCH)"

"Be sure to leave the reindeer a healthy snack on Christmas Eve, they need the energy to fly all night long! (And you know I love cookies of any kind!) And don’t forget to say your prayer before bed on Christmas Eve and be thankful for all you have!"
